Relationship with God: Love That Relates

πŸ’– Relationship with God: Love That Relates

Love = God’s thoughts and cares toward us
Him & Us: Relate = Relationship
Him: Grace and Mercy
Us: Effort and Repentance
Him: Forgiveness and Blessings

Think about it — a relationship thrives when both parties are willing to relate.
When a relationship breaks, proper healing happens only when the one at fault acknowledges their wrongdoing, asks for forgiveness, and genuinely makes an effort not to damage the trust or relationship again.

Ask yourself: how likely are you to extend a second chance to someone who says,
“I’m truly sorry, I understand how my behavior hurt you and our relationship, and I’m committed to doing better,”
and then follows through with changed actions?

When two parties move on together, they relate.
And when they relate, they have relationship.

🌿 Relating to God

In our relationship with God, the same principle holds true.
When we come to Him in repentance and receive forgiveness, we should recognize that His cares and concerns for us are His love for us.

We cannot truly relate to God without relationship.
We should deeply value the opportunity to be in relationship with Him—knowing that everything He does flows from love: a love meant to bless us and enable us to be a blessing to others.

πŸ•Š️ Protecting What Matters

Protecting your relationship with God is a powerful template for how to protect your relationships with others. The way we extend grace, forgiveness, and accountability toward others often mirrors how we relate to God.

Everyday life gives us divine lessons on love, humility, and repentance—both in the worldly sense and the spiritual sense. None of us can say we don’t understand how relationships work.
We simply avoid accountability when we don’t want to change.

But one thing remains certain: God is clear.
We either choose relationship with Him—or we do not.
