There are moments in life when we pause to reflect on the people who have poured into us—those who’ve shown us God’s love in action, whether through patience, encouragement, challenge, or gentle nudges in the right direction. This post is a heartfelt tribute to the ones who have helped shape my journey toward becoming a woman of godly character.

❤️ San — My Husband
To my loving husband, San—thank you for being a steady, forgiving, and patient partner. Your love has been a reflection of courage and endurance, a bond built on loyalty and covenant. As I continue to grow and mature, your support helps me walk more confidently in my purpose. 

Ephesians 5:28 (NIV)
"In this same way, husbands ought to love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself." - This kind of love is rooted in Christ’s example and brings blessing to the marriage.

💖 Dorrien — My Son
To my son, Dorrien—thank you for honoring your dad and me not just in word, but in action. Your intentionality and respect remind me daily of God's promises and the sweet truth that His blessings are generational. You are a walking testimony of His goodness.

“Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. ‘Honor your father and mother’—which is the first commandment with a promise—‘so that it may go well with you and that you may enjoy long life on the earth.’” - It comes with a promise of blessing—well-being and longevity.

💙 Clarence “Skip” — My Nephew-Son
To my nephew-son, Clarence—affectionately known as “Skip” and lovingly called “Nephew” by my husband and me—your presence is a sweet reminder that the values and beliefs we hold dear are both meaningful and impactful. Thank you for showing up with love, sincerity, and a depth that affirms the fruit of our faith and family.

💚 Darius — My Son
To my son, Darius—you have challenged me in the best ways. Thank you for stretching my focus and deepening my dependence on the Lord. Through you, I’ve learned that trusting the process—even when I don’t have all the answers—is an act of faith.

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight." - Reminds us that God’s guidance is perfect, even when our own understanding is limited.

💛 Kelli — My Sister in Christ
To my dear sister in Christ, Kelli—your encouragement and accountability have meant so much. Thank you for helping me stay rooted in my time with the Lord. Your friendship is sunshine on cloudy days, a true gift of warmth and joy.

"Perfume and incense bring joy to the heart, and the pleasantness of a friend springs from their heartfelt advice." - It highlights how true friends bring joy and sweetness to life.

🧡 Uncle Adrin — My Motivator
To my uncle, Adrin—thank you for unknowingly giving me the final push to share my voice with the world. You didn’t know I’d been journaling since 2018 or waiting for the “right time” and “right platform,” but your encouragement—followed by a confirming Scripture—was the confirmation I needed to move forward.

"Gracious words are a honeycomb, sweet to the soul and healing to the bones." - Our speech can nourish and encourage others deeply.

  Forgiveness: A Command and Blessing Today is the day—pie day! I am so excited. My husband just made his amazing sweet potato pie. This pie is so delicious that it makes my youngest son and me behave as if we were hired for pie duty, with our only task being to make sure we each got a slice—and only us. Equally—because we are not allies. Things became more territorial after convincing my husband to make mini pies so we could ration them equally. I don’t know what he puts in the pie that makes it so addictive, but our home becomes a battle zone over equal rights to pie. We don’t become mean, but we do become steadfast. Well, on this day, things were rough. Husband made two single pies—one each for me and my son. Things went wrong when my husband wanted a taste of his own creation. He wanted my pie.
